Perfect spot for a getaway
Had a fab stay for 1 night. The location's spot on for visiting Southwold. Room was clean, and the wifi was a nice plus. Dinner was delish, and the staff were super chill and friendly. Only bummer was the breakfast mix-up, but the manager handled it well. Would def stay again, maybe try The Plough Inn next time!

Had an awesome time with friends! We explored Southwold Museum and checked out The Seagull Theatre. The stay was comfortable, and the accommodation was clean. We enjoyed superb food at the sister pub which made up for the breakfast mix-up. The e/v charging point outside our room was a nice touch.

We had a lovely stay! The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. It had a flat-screen TV, private bathroom, electric kettle, and free toiletries. The breakfast was plentiful with freshly baked croissants. The staff were super friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. The location was ideal for exploring Southwold. Highly recommend the food at the pub next door, it was superb!

The Double Room offered ample space, but what really stood out were the two emergency lights—very convenient for night owls like me. Their e/v charging point by the parking area is a nice touch for anyone with an electric ride.
Unfortunately, the bed felt too small for the room size, and the mattress didn't provide enough softness for a good night's sleep. The emergency lights, while useful, ended up being a bit distracting during the night. The dining experience also didn't quite land. dinner was average and overpriced, with my double-cooked pork belly lacking the flair I was hoping for, and the veg was underwhelming—certainly not what I'd call seasonal goodness. Breakfast wasn't the smoothest operation on a busy morning either, with one staff member juggling multiple roles—a bit chaotic for early risers.

The double room offered a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, equipped with a solid bed and ample storage, perfect for a night away. Enjoyed the scenic walk to Covehithe beach, a great way to take in the surrounding landscape.
Arrived for breakfast only to find the chef had called in sick, leading us to miss a morning meal at the hotel. While there was an option to drive to their sister pub for breakfast, the convenience of on-site dining would have been preferred. the presence of dogs during meals raised my allergy issues, impacting my experience—just a personal preference but something worth considering for other guests.

The room was really clean and comfortable, which was a big plus after a long day out. It had everything we needed and was in good condition. We appreciated the working wifi too. The location was convenient, and it felt nice to have a little privacy in the single-story building next to the pub. I liked the setup.

Chill country vibes
We stayed for a night, and it was a chill experience. Breakfast was just okay, pretty standard for a pub. But the staff? Super friendly and helpful! Loved that it's close to the village and coast—ideal for a quick getaway. Just wish the room had a bit more character.

Great location and cozy atmosphere
I absolutely loved the charming accommodation, which was quiet and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were genuinely friendly and the room was spotless and comfortable. Even though we couldn't enjoy breakfast at the property, the alternative at the nearby pub was superb, making it a minor inconvenience.

easy access to the stunning southwold coast and nature walks
During my stay, I loved that the hotel was just a short drive to the beautiful Southwold coast, and I enjoyed exploring the nearby Benacre National Nature Reserve with its lovely walking trails that are perfect for city strolls like mine. The staff were incredibly friendly and the bed provided me with the comfort I needed after a long day of exploring, but I noticed that the car park could use some better lighting at night.

Great stay with friendly vibes
Had a lovely night! The room was super spacious and had a nice selection of tea and biscuits, which was a nice touch. The food was classic pub grub, just what we needed. Only thing was, the WiFi was a bit spotty, but it didn’t ruin the fun. Would recommend for a chill getaway.
